AI form check

AI Lateral Raise
form check.

Film a set of lateral raises facing the camera, upload it, and the AI scores every rep. It measures how high your arms actually travel, whether momentum is doing the lifting, and whether your traps are stealing the work.

Every rep, scored

What the AI checks on your lateral raise.

Raise height
Your shoulder abduction angle is measured at the top of every rep, flagging raises that stop short of shoulder height.
Momentum
The smoothness of each raise is analyzed, so reps swung up with body English instead of lifted under control get flagged.
Shrugging
Shoulder elevation is tracked relative to your hips through the set, catching traps taking over the movement.
Torso lean
Side lean is measured on every rep, flagging the rock-and-tilt pattern that sneaks in when the dumbbells get heavy.
Symmetry
Left and right wrist heights and shoulder angles are compared, so one arm raising higher than the other shows up per rep.
Elbow and wrist position
The AI measures your elbow bend at the top and flags reps where the wrist rises above the elbow, since the elbow should lead the raise.
Common faults

Mistakes it catches.

Swinging the weights up
Momentum from a small dip or torso rock, detected by analyzing the smoothness of each rep.
Shrugging
Shoulders creeping up toward the ears, which shifts the work from the side delts to the traps.
Stopping short
Raises that never reach shoulder height, measured by shoulder angle at the top of every rep.
Leading with the wrists
Wrists tilting above the elbows at the top, which rotates the work away from the side delts.

Questions, answered

Lateral Raise form check, explained.

How do I film my lateral raises for a form check?
Face your phone directly, a few meters away, with your whole body and both arms in frame through the full raise. The front view is what lets the AI measure raise height and left-right symmetry.
Can AI tell if I am using momentum on lateral raises?
Yes. The analyzer scores the smoothness of your wrist movement on every rep and flags raises that spike upward faster than a controlled lift would, alongside separate checks for torso lean and hip sway.
How high should a lateral raise go?
The analyzer checks your shoulder abduction angle at the top of each rep, expecting at least about 70 degrees with shoulder height as the target. Reps that stop short are flagged individually with the deficit.
What does the lateral raise report include?
Per-rep verdicts on raise height, momentum, shrugging, torso lean, hip sway, elbow bend, wrist position relative to the elbow, and left-right symmetry, plus tempo timing for every rep.
