AI form check
AI Plank
form check.
Film your plank from the side, upload it, and the AI analyzes the entire hold. It tracks the line from your shoulders to your ankles second by second, times how long your form actually held, and shows when it broke.
Every rep, scored
What the AI checks on your plank.
- Body line
- The line through your shoulders, hips, and ankles is measured continuously, scoring how close your hold stays to a straight plank.
- Hip sag
- Hips dropping below the body line are measured throughout the hold and flagged when the sag passes the alignment standard.
- Hip pike
- The opposite fault is tracked too: hips rising into a tent shape get flagged separately from sagging.
- Head position
- Your head is checked against your shoulder line, flagging both a dropped head and a craned-up neck.
- Stability
- Hip movement over the course of the hold is converted into a stability score, so a shaky plank scores lower than a still one.
- Hold time and quality
- The AI times your total hold, your longest unbroken hold, and the share of it spent in good form, and flags form that breaks down early.
Common faults
Mistakes it catches.
- Sagging hips
- The most common flag: hips dropping below the straight line, loading the lower back instead of the core.
- Piking up
- Hips creeping upward to make the hold easier, which takes the tension off the abs.
- Craning the neck
- Looking up or letting the head hang, both flagged as breaks in the head-to-heels line.
- Fading early
- Form breaking down in the first stretch of the hold, a sign the duration goal is ahead of current core strength.

Questions, answered
Plank form check, explained.
- How do I film my plank for a form check?
- Put your phone on the floor or a low bench a few meters to your side, so your whole body from head to ankles is in frame. Hold the plank for at least 5 seconds, since shorter holds are not analyzed.
- Can AI tell if my hips are sagging in a plank?
- Yes. The analyzer tracks the line through your shoulders, hips, and ankles on every frame and measures how far your hips drop below it or rise above it, flagging sag and pike separately with the worst moment identified.
- Does the plank check count reps?
- No, and that is by design. A plank is an isometric hold, so the analyzer measures hold duration, your longest unbroken hold, a stability score, and the percentage of your hold spent in good alignment instead of counting repetitions.
- What does the plank form report include?
- Total and longest hold time, the share of the hold spent in good form, a body line alignment score, hip sag and pike measurements, head position flags, a stability score, and whether your form broke down early in the hold.
