What the AI checks on your pull-up.

Bar clearance
The AI estimates the bar height from your hands and checks on every rep whether your head actually cleared it, so half reps get counted as half reps.
Lateral swing
Side-to-side body sway is measured relative to your shoulder width, flagging sets where you drift around instead of pulling straight.
Front-back swing
Kipping and momentum show up as front-to-back movement, which is measured separately and flagged when it passes the strict pull-up standard.
Elbow symmetry
The minimum elbow angle each arm reaches at the top is compared left versus right, catching one arm doing more work than the other.
Shoulder symmetry
Left and right shoulder angles are compared through the pull, flagging uneven pulling patterns worth over 15 degrees.

Not clearing the bar
The most common flag: reps that stall just below the bar. The report shows exactly which reps made it and which missed.
Kipping without meaning to
Front-back body swing creeping in as fatigue builds, turning strict reps into momentum reps.
Pulling unevenly
One elbow bending further than the other at the top, a sign of a side-to-side strength imbalance.
Swinging side to side
Lateral drift under the bar, which wastes energy and makes every rep harder than it needs to be.

Pull-Up form check, explained.

How do I film my pull-ups for a form check?
Set your phone a few meters away, front-on or at a slight angle, with the bar and your whole body in frame for the entire set. Make sure your hands and head are visible so the AI can locate the bar.
Can AI tell if my chin actually cleared the bar?
Yes. The analyzer estimates the bar position from your hand placement at the top of the movement, then checks the height of your head against it on every rep, so no rep gets credit it did not earn.
Does the pull-up check detect kipping?
It measures front-to-back and side-to-side body swing separately, both scaled to your shoulder width. Swing beyond the strict pull-up standard is flagged per set, so you know when momentum started doing the work.
What does the pull-up form report include?
A verdict on every rep covering bar clearance, lateral and front-back swing, and left versus right elbow and shoulder symmetry, plus specific cues on what to fix first to earn cleaner reps.
