The play-by-play

How to do it.

  1. Step 01

    Set cable pulley to a high position with a D-handle.

  2. Step 02

    Stand perpendicular to the machine, feet shoulder-width apart.

  3. Step 03

    Grasp the handle with both hands, arms extended towards the pulley.

  4. Step 04

    Rotate your torso downwards and across your body, pulling the handle towards your opposite knee.

  5. Step 05

    Pivot your feet as needed to facilitate rotation.

  6. Step 06

    Control the return to the starting position.

  • Engage your core throughout the entire movement.

  • Control the rotation; avoid jerky movements.

  • Use your obliques to drive the movement, not just your arms.
