See the real answer, how many times off you were, and how your guess compares with everyone else's. Then share your score.
Nobody is wrong. Only far.
Times off, not points
Your score for a question is how many times off you were: your guess divided by the answer, or the other way round, whichever is bigger. Guess 250 for 500 and you are 2× off, the same as guessing 1,000.
Your day is the average
The three multipliers are averaged into one score for the day. 1.0× is perfect. Under 1.3× is elite. Lower is always better, like a lap time.
Everyone gets the same three
The quiz changes at midnight in your time zone, and every player gets the same questions on the same date. That is what makes a score worth sharing.
The daily gym quiz, explained.
- What is Daily Rep?
- Daily Rep is a free daily gym quiz. Every day you get three questions with a number for an answer: a world record, the calories in a snack, the weight of a barbell, the speed of a sprinter. You guess, and you are scored by how many times off you were.
- How is the score calculated?
- Each guess is scored as a multiplier: the bigger of your guess divided by the answer and the answer divided by your guess. An exact guess is 1.0×. Being twice too high or half too low is 2×. Your score for the day is the average of the three multipliers, and lower is better.
- When does a new quiz come out?
- A new set of three questions unlocks every day at midnight in your own time zone. Everyone who plays on the same calendar date gets the same three questions.
- Where do the answers come from?
- Every answer is checked against a published source: federation record lists, official nutrition labels, government food databases and sports science references. The source is shown under each answer. Some answers are rounded or rest on a stated assumption, and the reveal says so.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Daily Rep is free and needs no account. Your streak and today's result are kept in your browser. We keep only anonymous scores, with no name, account or device attached, so nothing can be traced back to you.
- What does "closer than 70% of players" mean?
- It compares your guess with every other first play of the day. If you are closer to the answer than 70 out of 100 other players, you beat 70% of them. The ranking appears once enough people have played that day.
